Good times for an even better cause
The Next Picture Show welcomes the 3rd Wine Tasting Gala on Friday, Oct. 18. This event combines patrons’ support for the arts with a fine glass of wine (or two, or three). This year, Winebow Fine Wine & Spirits will offer five wines from Portugal for us to sample. Scroll down for more information about Winebow.

The Wine Tasting Gala fundraiser takes place in the gallery located in Dixon, IL. It starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. The dress is business casual. The night’s activities include light refreshments, a silent auction, fun raffles, and live music. A soft drink, water, and beer cash bar are available throughout the evening.
Note: The tasting doesn’t include dinner. Since you’re all dressed up, make dinner reservations at one of Dixon’s local restaurants before coming to the gallery!

Lyma Vinho Verde 2023
This crisp, refreshing white wine has light citrus notes and a slight effervescence, perfect for sipping in warm weather.
J Portugal Ramos Alvarinho 2022
A vibrant and aromatic white wine showcasing tropical fruit flavors like pineapple and passionfruit, balanced with a zesty acidity.
Duorum Altitude 2021
It is a smooth, full-bodied red wine with ripe red fruit flavors and a touch of spice, making it an excellent pairing for hearty dishes.
Wine & Soul Manoella 2021
A structured red wine with dark fruit flavors, subtle oak, and earthy undertones, offering a complex and elegant tasting experience.
Duorum D Ruby Port and Duorum D Tawny Port
Rich and flavorful dessert wines, with the Ruby offering sweet berry and chocolate notes, while the Tawny delights with flavors of caramel, nuts, and dried fruit

If buying over the phone, call 815-285-4924. Have your email and debit or credit card ready. You may buy tickets in person at the gallery Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cannot be put on hold or reserved. They must be purchased in advance.
