The Next Picture Show is pleased to present the Shades of Gray Art Exhibition featuring works of art created in black, white, and gray using mediums such as acrylic, charcoal, digital photography, enamel, wool & silk fiber, film photography, graphite pencil, and watercolor.

Judge | Jeff Paul Thompson

Jeff Paul Thompson of Wheaton, IL is our guest judge for this exhibition. He is an accomplished sculptor. Thompson has an MFA from the University of Maryland and chaired the Art Department at Judson University in Elgin before teaching Creativity, Ceramics, and Art History at Wheaton College. He has many illustrations in print, is a trained jewelry designer, and now builds life-sized figurative installations. Jeff’s art can be viewed online at JeffPaulThompson.com.

Opening Reception

The opening reception and artist award ceremony takes place on March 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.
